Under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency the Swiss Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, Dr. Tiziano Balmelli, the Kuwait Green Wall Society held an important virtual meeting with the Swiss-Kuwaiti Business Platform and Exlterra to explore prospects for joint cooperation and the transfer of advanced Swiss environmental technology to the State of Kuwait, particularly in the areas of ecological agriculture, land reclamation, and anti-desertification technologies.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Khalifa Fahad Al-Ghanem, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Green Wall Society, with the participation of Ms. Mishaael Al-Kulaib, member of the Kuwait Green Wall Society, and Mr. Ahmed Al-Majid, Director General. On the Swiss side, attendees included Mr. Patrick Tran, President of the Swiss-Kuwaiti Business Platform, Secretary General Ms. Céline Jacquemet, and Mr. Frank Muller, CEO of Exlterra.
The meeting served as a strategic dialogue platform to explore ways of leveraging advanced Swiss expertise and innovative technologies in soil rehabilitation, desertification control, and support for environmental sustainability and food security projects — in alignment with Kuwait Vision 2035 and in support of the Kuwait Green Wall Society's initiatives, most notably the Green Squares Initiative.
